Our five log cabins (6 rental units) were built between 1996 and 2001 by Jay Tillman, and our townhouse apartment building (3 units) was once a six-room motel estimated to have been built in the 1950s. The Lakeview Family/Property Management lives on-site in the former motel office.

"A hundred times every day I remind myself that my inner and outer life depend on the labors of other men, living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received and am still receiving."
~ Albert Einstein

"My grandfather, Jay Tillman, was a dream driven, adventurous, yet disciplined man. After joining the military as a Naval pilot at a young age, he developed the skills and ability to put his blood, sweat, and tears into building his dreams. With a life long passion for helping others, he spent several years as a school teacher as well as an accountant. In his free time, he was family-oriented and enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, photography, and flying his VERY OWN airplane. When it came time to "retire", he began dabbling in real estate and came upon the property now known as Lakeview Properties of Dubay, LLC.

Lakeview was Jay's ultimate dream, and it surely didn't happen over night. With the purchase of the property complete in 1987, I spend my childhood watching my family pitch in to help Grandpa create his vision. It was a lot of hard (never ending) work, but, at the end of the day, the family was together. We'd enjoy a big feast after a long day's work, and, then, my uncle would take my cousins and I tubing, skiing, kneeboarding, etc. It wasn't until 1996 that the first cabin was built. I spent my teenage years seeing my Grandpa's vision become a reality. When the last cabin was built in 2001, it was sadly followed by my grandfather's tragic passing in August 2001. In the end, his goal was to build a peaceful and serene environment that our family and our residents could proudly call home, and I am ever so honored to be maintaining his dreams and community standards for all of our residents here today!!!

With the passing of my grandfather, my parents did everything possible to help keep Grandpa's vision alive and progressing. My mother followed in her Dad's footsteps and had become a school teacher. With her busy schedule, my Dad became the face of Lakeview  for the last 10 years of his life before he passed in 2011 (at which point, I took over).  My Dad's work ethic, even in poor health toward the end, is what drives me today do my very best in maintaining a safe and tranquil environment  for those living at Lakeview."
